Country Director (Japan Market)

One of the leading Information Technology companies in Vietnam, specializing in providing digital transformation consulting services and software solutions in the fields of finance, healthcare, and retail for both domestic and international enterprises. The company is headquartered in Hanoi, with three representative offices located in Ho Chi Minh City, the United States, and Australia

1. Revenue Growth & Market Dominance 

• Drive the company’s expansion in Japan by leveraging market knowledge, business acumen, and a strong local network.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and new service opportunities in ITO, digital transformation, and consulting.
• Design and implement business growth strategies aligned with global objectives.
• Promote the company as a trusted technology partner via local branding, marketing campaigns, and industry events.

2.  Strategic Collaboration & Offshore Management 

• Ensure strategic alignment and seamless collaboration between the Japan office and HQ in Vietnam.
• Communicate local market dynamics to HQ and ensure service delivery matches client expectations.
• Coordinate with offshore development and consulting teams to ensure project quality and timelines. 

3. Team Leadership & Talent Management 

• Recruit, develop, and lead a cross-functional local team (Sales, Account Management, Technical, PMO).
• Define KPIs, set clear goals, and implement performance management frameworks.
• Promote a collaborative, performance-driven, and culturally aware work environment.

4. Financial & Operational Management 

• Set up and manage local financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
• Monitor revenue, cost structures, and profitability, ensuring targets are met.
• Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance in the Japanese market.

5. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field. MBA is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in IT/software development or digital consulting, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role in Japan.
• Proven ability to build business and operations from scratch in Japan or a similar mature market.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese technology ecosystem, business culture, and regulatory frameworks.
• Native-level Japanese and strong English communication skills (verbal & written).
• Strong leadership, strategy, and execution skills in cross-cultural environments.
